A lab for the one-person crew

A television show has a host, a producer, an editor, a floor manager and somebody reading the phones. A creator has themselves. We make software that fills a few of those seats.

Why we exist

Going live alone is hard in a specific way. You are talking, watching the chat, thanking people, keeping out the spam and trying to remember the point you were making, all at once. Then the show ends and the real work begins: finding the five minutes worth posting in the two hours you recorded.

Social Co-host takes the first job: a co-host who talks with you and reads the room. AI Video Clipper Highlights takes the second: it finds the moments and cuts them for every platform you post to. Neither one replaces you. Both give you back the hours.

Why “manic”

Because that is what a solo show feels like from the inside: high energy, many things at once, no second take. The name is about the pace of the work, and the tools are there to make that pace something you can keep up.

Not everything we make will be AI. What it will all be is software for people who make things on their own.

The rules

Four rules every product keeps

Each is already true of both products. The next one starts from the same four.

  1. Rule 01

    Built for the one-person crew

    Most creators are the host, the producer, the editor and the moderator. Our tools take a seat on that crew, not over it.

  2. Rule 02

    The heavy work runs on your PC

    Speech, video and rendering happen on your own computer. Where an AI model is involved, you choose whether it runs locally or through a service you already pay for.

  3. Rule 03

    Your content stays yours

    Your shows and your clips are saved on your computer. We do not host them, and they never pass through us.

  4. Rule 04

    Say what is built

    Every feature on this site is in the product today. Anything planned is labelled planned, and has no date until it has a date.

What we do not promise

We will not tell you a tool will grow your channel, double your views or make you go viral. Nobody can promise that honestly. The claim we make is smaller: these tools do the jobs their pages say they do, on your own computer.

We also will not call something finished when it is not. Every product page separates what is built from what is planned.

Who is behind it

Manic Media Labs is a small independent software studio. Its tools began as the ones we wanted for our own shows, built and used every day before they were offered to anybody else.

We answer our own email. If you stream, podcast, run a channel or just have a question, write to us.

What it does
A co-host who talks with you live, and reads your TikTok LIVE chat on air.

  1. Talk

    Speak naturally. It answers when you pause and stops mid-sentence if you talk over it.

  2. Read the room

    It reads comments out by name, puts questions first, and thanks people for gifts and follows.

  3. Keep the show

    Every show is saved with its transcript, its chat, and an AI-written title and summary.

AI Video Clipper Highlights

What it does
Turn a long video into a set of highlight clips.
Runs on
Desktop app · Windows 10 and 11

  1. Drop in

    Add a long video, or a queue of them. The queue survives closing the app.

  2. Pick

    It reads the transcript and the voice track, loudness and pauses, to find the moments.

  3. Post

    Clips come out reframed for Shorts, TikTok, Reels, X or LinkedIn, captioned, with a thumbnail each.
